Join us for Downtown Drawing in Grass Valley where we will tour historical landmarks and trees in the area and sketch. Meet us in front of the Grass Valley Library. Each month we'll walk to a new location, taking time to sketch details of the area, while we take in local history and learn about local flora & fauna. We'll wrap up the program with closing thoughts, ideas, and inspiration back at the library. Drawing tips and ideas will be offered along with colored pencils and watercolors to explore with. All supplies are provided and all skill levels are welcome.

Grass Valley Library - Royce Branch Children's Room Join Miss Emily for Baby Storytime at the historic Grass Valley Library. This short story time is filled with rhymes, songs, and stories for the youngest children and their caregivers. We invite you to linger and enjoy each other's company after the story time. Toys will be provided.

Whether you’re an expert crafter or just getting started, join us for a new project every Tuesday during the 2022 Summer Learning Program. All supplies are provided, so just bring your creativity!

This art program is designed especially for teen and tween artists. Our Art Club will meet every Tuesday. There will be an activity demonstrated, drawing, painting, collage, etc. It's also a time for you to show off your work to the others in the group. Let's see your creativity and craftiness! For ages 10-17.

Madelyn Helling Library The history of printmaking began in Han Dynasty China. The earliest know example, a woodblock print on silk, has been dated during the Han dynasty from 206 B.C. to 220 A.D. This program will be exploring the four main types of printmaking, Intaglio, Relief, Stencil and Planographic. We will try the different techniques, while experimenting with the print making process and finding our own individual mark making style. All skill levels welcome and all supplies are provided.

Join us for Storytime at the Penn Valley Library right before we open at 10:30am! This Storytime features songs, movement, rhymes, and picture books to help little ones develop a lifelong love of reading and help promote early literacy.
