Stay and Play is a play group and storytime for kids age 0-5 and their adults. We especially invite nontraditional caregivers (friends, family members, and neighbors) who care for children in an informal way. Each week features a short storytime, a snack, and open play with fun and creative early literacy toys. Once a month a guest speaker will come to discuss educational topics and answer any questions you have. Stay and Play will be outdoors in the back yard of the Grass Valley Library as weather permits.
Book Gang is presented by the Teen Leadership Committee at the Grass Valley Library. On the last Thursday of every month, join other teens to talk about books!

Penn Valley has a book club! Meet at the Penn Valley Library to discuss good books with other Penn Valley patrons. May's Penn Valley Page Turners book is "Heart Wood" by local author Shirley DicKard. As a special treat, Shirley will be joining us to talk about her book and how she was inspired to write it. Refreshments will be served.
Patrons need to register for the book club meeting as space is limited. Registered patrons will be sent an email notification 24 hours prior to the scheduled event.
This book club is for people with IDD (intellectual & developmental disabilities) to read, learn, and make friends in a relaxed community setting. NCBC provides an opportunity for those with IDD to experience community inclusion, social connectedness, and lifelong learning.
