County Executive Officer Alison Lehman has been appointed rural co-chair to the California State Association of Counties’ Women’s Leadership Forum.
“The CSAC Women’s Leadership Forum recognizes how empowering women enhances economic productivity, improves access to opportunity, and makes institutions and policies more representative of the constituents they serve.” said CSAC Chief Executive Officer Graham Knaus. “Nevada County Executive Officer Alison Lehman will be an exceptional addition to WLF’s leadership team as it continues its important work in reducing gender disparities and uplifting future generations of women leaders in California counties.”
The mission of the Women’s Leadership’s Forum is “to provide a welcoming network for mentoring, supporting and empowering elected women supervisors and other women leaders who are affiliated with CSAC as they engage in leadership roles in their communities and within the CSAC organization.”
The forum is intended to connect, educate, and inspire through mentoring, discussing emerging issues in the state or by providing leadership training opportunities.
“I am grateful for this honor,” Lehman said. “I am committed to empowering women in leadership. Together we will forge a path of progress, collaboration and opportunities for all.”
