Four Nevada County locations will be open Saturday to receive unused medication for National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.
Hours are 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at:
- Nevada County Sheriff's Office, 950 Maidu Ave., Nevada City
- Sheriff's Office Substation, 17420 Penn Valley Drive, Penn Valley
- Grass Valley Police Department, parking lot at intersection of South Auburn and Neal streets
- Truckee Police Department, 11290 Donner Pass Road
Items accepted are prescriptions, over-the-counter medication, electronic vaping devices and cartridges (excluding devices with lithium ion batteries), and veterinary medication.
Items not accepted are sharps, medical waste, aerosols or hydrogen peroxide, cannabis and illegal drugs such as cocaine.
