Residents and businesses that sustained economic loss from the February storms have less than three weeks to file for reimbursement from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The deadline for filing a claim with FEMA is Sept. 1.
Examples of what FEMA can cover include damage to homes, cars, wells, septic systems, and medical equipment. To qualify for reimbursement, however, people must have receipts and/or documentation proving that the damage occurred during the February storms.
As of late July, FEMA had paid out nearly $70,000 in assistance to community members. Don’t miss this chance to access support.
