NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nevada County Adult and Family Services Commission, in coordination with the Department of Social Services, will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at 10:15 a.m. or as soon thereafter as the business of the Board will allow, in the Nevada County Board of Supervisors’ Chambers, 950 Maidu Avenue, Eric Rood Administrative Center, Nevada City, to discuss the service needs and priorities of Nevada County and to solicit citizen input.

The Nevada County Adult and Family Services Commission, on behalf of the County of Nevada, is in the process of submitting an updated Community Action Plan (CAP Plan) for the 2024/2025 program years. The CAP Plan guides service development and delivery for the next two years, based on community and agency input regarding service needs and gaps in the County. The purpose of this hearing is to allow members of the public to provide information or concerns regarding the delivery of poverty-related services to families and individuals in Nevada County to the Commission for inclusion in the plan. Members of the community with questions, requests for a printed copy of the draft plan, or wishing to submit written testimony, may email the consultant, Suzi Kochems at suzi@silkconsultinggroup.com or call her directly at (530) 228-7811.

If you plan on attending the public hearing and need a special accommodation because of a sensory or mobility impairment/disability, or have a need for an interpreter please contact the Clerk of the Board’s office by calling (530) 265-1480 at least four days prior to the meeting to arrange for those accommodations to be made. (TTY/Speech-to-Speech users may dial 7-1-1 for the California Relay Services).
