NOTICE OF INTENT TO PURCHASE AN INTEREST IN REAL PROPERTY THE PURCHASE PRICE OF WHICH IS $650,000
Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at 10:30 am or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the Board of Supervisors Chambers, First Floor, Eric Rood Administrative Center, 950 Maidu Avenue, Nevada City, CA, the Nevada County Board of Supervisors will meet to approve funding for its contractor to purchase certain real property described as 4.760 acres of real property with a single-family home located at 16573 Auburn Road, Grass Valley, CA, Assessor's Parcel Number: 025-232-025-000 from David J. Petersen and Stephanie Petersen, Petersen Family Trust, for a total cost of $650,000. The Board of Supervisors will be considering the approval of a request by Turning Point Community Programs (“Contractor”), to purchase a property to be owned by Contractor contingent on a 55-year deed restriction (interest) for the Contractor to use the property for respite services. The County's interest in this property will be the deed restriction.
You have a right to attend the public meeting to discuss the proposed real property purchase, provide oral testimony, and/or submit written materials regarding these matters. Any person wishing to comment on this matter should appear at the public meeting or may submit written comments (original and 9 copies) to the Clerk of the Board no later than 4:00 p.m. the evening prior to the noticed meeting in order for the correspondence to become part of the public record. The Board Chair may place reasonable restrictions on the time allowed to any person to speak on these matters.
