The holidays will be merrier this year for Nevada County’s foster kids, thanks to the generosity of local businesses, nonprofits, and residents. Nevada County Child Welfare Services’ annual Giving Tree Program collected gifts for 132 children, provided 70 families with food baskets, and provided furniture (couch, dining table, chairs, dressers) to a family in need.

Child Welfare Services extends a heartfelt thank you to the following businesses and organizations for supporting families during this holiday season and every other day of the year:

  • Caroline’s Coffee
  • GI Junk
  • Great Vibes Cleaning
  • Kids Zone
  • Nevada County Department of Social Services staff
  • Nevada County Probation Department
  • Nevada County Sheriff’s Office
  • Nevada County Superior Court
  • PG&E yard staff
  • South Yuba Club
  • Training Zone
  • Truckee Library
  • Twin Cities Church
