Nevada County Connects Offers Free Transit Fares July 15th & 16th to Support Health Clinic


California CareForce is hosting a free health clinic at Nevada Union High School this weekend. To make this free service more accessible, Nevada County Connects is offering free bus fares on all routes on Friday, July 15th and Saturday, July 16th.

Nevada County Connects will be operating normal schedules and times on all routes with free fares for all. Bus schedules are available in the Nevada County Connects Rider’s Guide, at Call Nevada County Connects at 530-477-0103 x 0 for travel planning information.

The 3-day health clinic is available on a first-come, first-served basis and offers free dental, vision, and medical assistance. No need for proof of insurance, employment, income, or residency. The County of Nevada's Transit Services  department has received a Low Carbon Transit Operations Program (LCTOP) air quality grant that provides public transit funding assistance for projects that help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve mobility.

Dates: July 15-17, 2022
Hours: Friday and Saturday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm; Sunday 7:00 am to 12:00 pm
Where: Nevada Union High School, 11645 Ridge Road, Grass Valley, CA 95945
Cost: All services are free and are offered on a first come, first served basis on the day of services as capacity allows. 
What to Bring: Your prescription medication, appropriate clothing, food, and water. Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination OR proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 24 hours of clinic attendance. Onsite testing will be available.
