Veterans Services Expands Truckee In-Person Hours

The Nevada County Veterans Services Office (NCVSO) is proud to announce that they are once again providing regular, in-person services to the veteran community in Eastern Nevada County. NCVSO is expanding these services to weekly to better meet the needs of our Truckee and Tahoe basin customers.

Veterans Services Representative Traci Hart meets with veterans on the first and third Fridays of every month at the Truckee Veterans Memorial Building, located at 10124 High Street, Truckee, CA 96161.  Veterans can receive assistance applying for the federal, state, and local benefits to which they are entitled. NCVSO can also assist with obtaining employment, housing, and free confidential mental health services.

Joeb Stephens, an active-duty Navy Corpsman who recently joined the NCVSO staff through Nevada County’s Intern Program, will be available on the second and fourth Fridays of every month starting in July. The NCVSO is committed to establishing consistent services for the veterans of Eastern Nevada County and hopes that being more present and available in a convenient location will encourage more veterans in the area to come in to discuss the benefits that might be available to them.  If you would like to schedule an appointment to meet with one of our trained representatives at the Truckee Veterans Memorial Building, please send us an email or call us at -530-272-3396.
