Pursuant to Governor Gavin Newsom's Executive Order pertaining to the convening of public meetings in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the County of Nevada will hold its regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Supervisors from inside the Board Chambers. The Tuesday January 11th meeting starts at 9:00 a.m. in the Board Chambers.

The meeting will begin at 9:00 am with the selection of a Chair and Vice Chair for 2022 and recognition of Chair Dan Miller for his service as Chair in 2021.
The Board will then approve the Consent Calendar before hearing public comment on items not appearing on the agenda.
At 10:30 am, Chief Information Officer Stephen Monaghan will facilitate a public hearing to approve the Forest Reserve Title III spending plan and the board will consider a resolution approving the spending plans for Fiscal Year 2021/22 and Fiscal Year 2022/23.
Next, Chief Information Officer Stephen Monaghan will present to the Board on the status of the Local Emergency in Nevada County due to the 12/27/2021 snowstorm.
At 1:30 pm, after a recess for lunch, Planning Director Brian Foss will present a resolution accepting the Regional Early Action Planning (REAP) Grants Program award.
Finally, the Board will go into closed session for the annual consultation with the Sheriff, or their designee, and Steve Monaghan, Chief Information Officer, concerning matters posing a risk to essential public services.
