Nevada County District IV Supervisor Sue Hoek is hosting a town hall covering topics related to public safety, wildfire prevention, preparedness and response, and public roadways in Nevada City on Tuesday, June 29th, 2021, at the North Columbia Schoolhouse Cultural Center at 5:30PM to 7:30PM. The community will receive brief informative presentations and will have an opportunity to ask questions of speakers.
Panelists include representatives from Cal FIRE, North San Juan Fire District, Office of Emergency Services, Fire Safe Council of Nevada County, Nevada County Sheriff, California Highway Patrol, Nevada County Public Works, and Caltrans.
“Since coming into office, I have had the amazing opportunity of really connecting with the North San Juan community. I want folks to come prepared and be ready to engage to ask questions. As we venture deeper into fire season, with PSPS events around the corner and continued concern over our public roadway, it’s critical that folks have the information they need and provide their input. Let’s get nitty-gritty – see you out there.”
