Down Payment Assistance

Nevada County's Health and Human Services Agency Division of Housing and Community Services now has funding to provide home ownership opportunities to first time home buyers.  The HOME First-time Homebuyers' (FTHB) Program provides low to moderate income residents who are first-time homebuyers the financial assistance needed to own a home in the unincorporated areas of Nevada County. 

The HOME First-time Homebuyers' Program can provide down payment gap assistance to families who are first-time homebuyers.  A first-time homebuyer is an individual who has not owned a principle residence during the three years prior to the purchase of the property with the HOME loan. What you need to know about the 2021 FTHB Program (Please review prior to submitting an application).

Prior to submitting an application, applicants must obtain a prequalification letter from a primary lender.  Applications submitted without a prequalification letter are considered incomplete and will not be reviewed.  To apply for the FTHB Program applicants must complete and submit an application along with a prequalification letter, locatione in the link below.
