Mission

The Nevada County Community Library Read Up! program's mission is to help adults build their reading and writing skills through free, confidential, one-on-one tutoring.  The program pairs adult learners who want to improve skills and achieve goals that may include voting for the first time, reading aloud to their children, or finding employment.
With over 30 million adults nationwide struggling with everyday basic life tasks, Read Up! makes it easy and comfortable to get help.
