Volunteer at your local public library!

Library volunteers do a variety of jobs that help keep the library running smoothly! From shelving to story time, processing DVDs, to helping in the Collaborative Technology Center, we offer a variety of jobs to interest every individual.

Please feel free to visit your local library and discuss the possibilities with the volunteer coordinator or simply fill out an application. Paper forms are available at any library location.

Volunteer Application for Adults

Volunteer Application for Youth (8th grade and up)

Please note, all volunteers over the age of 18 are required to be fingerprinted by the Nevada County Sheriff's Department prior to volunteering at a library. The library will pay for fingerprinting and therefore we ask for at least a six month commitment.

The library branch volunteer coordinator will contact you to schedule an interview after they receive an application. Once the application is approved the applicant will be contacted to schedule fingerprinting.
