The Information Security role at Nevada County is responsible the implementation and management of the County's Information Security Program.
Key aspects of the Program include Security Strategic Direction, establishment of Security Policies, Security Awareness and Internal Security Audits.
Nevada County joins federal, state and local governments across the nation each year to raise cybersecurity awareness during October, National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM). The Federal government since 2004 has recognized October as Cybersecurity Awareness Month. This year the County has partnered with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) to raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity.
For 2023 CISA recommends the following four actions we all should take.
