This program consists of a surveillance team that monitors and responds to vector-borne diseases including plague, hantavirus, tickborne diseases, West Nile Virus, and others.

Birds play an important role in spreading West Nile Virus(WNV). The public is encouraged to assist in the efforts to detect and monitor WNV by calling the WNV hotline (877) 968-2473. Learn more about the Dead Bird Hotline.
