Effective Thursday, November 1, 2012, at 0700 the Nevada County Sheriff's Office commenced operations of the Regional Dispatch Center (RDC) in Nevada City. Nevada County Sheriff's Office Dispatchers are tasked with answering all 911 calls, and handling all radio traffic for the Nevada County Sheriff's Office, the Nevada City Police Department, the Truckee Police Department, and the Grass Valley Police Department.
Each agency's regular business telephone line will be answered by their respective Departments during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.). After hours and Holidays, the business lines will be forwarded to the RDC, and answered by Nevada County Dispatchers.

Public Records / Media Logs
Each agency is responsible for their own release of public records, and media logs. The Nevada County Sheriff's Office will only release information to the media pertaining to Nevada County Sheriff calls for service.
